BY CAR
From New York City, take the Upper Level of the George Washington Bridge, New Jersey bound. Take the first right off Bridge onto the Palisades Parkway North and follow to the end towards Route 6 East and the Bear Mountain Bridge. Cross the Bear Mountain Bridge. Take the first left onto Route 9D North and continue sixteen and a half miles into the City of Beacon. At the fourth traffic light in Beacon (just past Beacon City Hall), turn left onto Beekman Street and continue for one-half mile. Dia:Beacon’s entrance is on the right. (Travel time is approximately 80 minutes.)
From New Jersey and points south, follow the New York State Thruway North (I-87) to Exit 17, I-84. Take I-84 East to Exit 11, Route 9D. At Exit 11, travel south on Route 9D into the City of Beacon. Make a right at the light onto Beekman Street and continue for one-half mile. Dia:Beacon’s entrance is on the right.
From the Taconic State Parkway and points north, travel south to I-84. Take I-84 West to Exit 11, Route 9D and proceed as from New Jersey.

Once on the Bard Campus, follow signs for CCS Bard Hessel Museum. (Travel time is approximately two hours.)
From southern Connecticut, follow I-84 to the Taconic State Parkway, take the Taconic north to the Red Hook/ Route 199 exit, drive west on Route 199 through the village of Red Hook to Route 9G, turn right onto Route 9G, and drive north 1.6 miles.
From northern Connecticut, take Route 44 to Route 199 at Millerton, drive west on Route 199, and proceed as from southern Connecticut.
From Massachusetts and northern New England, take the Massachusetts Turnpike to Exit B-2 (Taconic Parkway), take the Taconic south to the Red Hook/Route 199 exit, and proceed as from southern Connecticut.

Continue for 9 miles and then turn right onto Beekman Street and continue for one-half mile. Dia:Beacon’s entrance is on the right. (Travel time is approximately 1 hour.)
